About GOAT CE Tours
We are a small tour company from Bratislava, Slovakia, running small-group day trips across the heart of Central Europe — from Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest to the castles, mountains and villages in between. GOAT stands for Greatest Of All Trips, and yes, the goat in the van is our mascot.
Why we started
Central Europe’s capitals get all the attention, but we grew up with the places between them: fairytale Bojnice, the cliff ruins of Beckov, painted wooden houses in Čičmany, the quiet lanes of Banská Štiavnica. Most visitors never see them — not because they wouldn’t love them, but because reaching them without a car is genuinely hard. So we put together comfortable vans, local guides who grew up with these places, and routes that make one day count.
How we run our tours
Honest reviews, honest advice
We believe in transparent reviews and honest recommendations. The ratings you see on our tour pages come directly from verified GetYourGuide bookings — our most popular castle tour from Bratislava holds a 4.7-star rating from more than 2,000 travellers. We never write our own reviews, and in our travel guides we regularly recommend trips and destinations we don’t sell, because a recommendation you can trust is worth more to us than one extra booking.
Where we can take you
- Day trips from Vienna — Bratislava, Slovakia’s fairytale castles, Budapest, Melk and Hallstatt
- Day trips from Bratislava — Bojnice Castle, UNESCO Banská Štiavnica, Čičmany, Orava Castle and the High Tatras
- Day trips from Budapest — Lake Balaton with Tihany and Esztergom, or Bratislava and Vienna in one day
