When to come

We drive all year round. Every season shows Slovakia differently — here is the honest version.

WinterOur strongest season for the mountains. The High Tatras under snow are the reason people come back, and the roads are clear and quiet. Bojnice and Banska Stiavnica in winter light are worth the trip on their own.
SpringCastles reopen for the season, the countryside turns green, and you are not sharing Bojnice with a queue.
SummerWarmest and busiest. Long daylight means we reach further — the Tatras, Orava and Cicmany fit comfortably in one day.
AutumnQuiet roads and colour across the Vah valley. Comfortable walking weather well into November.

Where we pick you up

We collect you anywhere in Bratislava, including the Old Town, Petrzalka and the hotels along the Danube. Full-day tours usually leave between 7:30 and 8:30 — you get the exact time with your confirmation, because it depends on where you are staying and how many of you are travelling.

Arriving by train or bus the same morning? Tell us and we will start at the station instead.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best day trip from Bratislava?

Our most popular tour is Bojnice, Trenčín & Beckov Castles — rated 4.7★ from more than 2,000 reviews on GetYourGuide. If you want mountains as well as castles, choose the Čičmany, Bojnice, Orava & High Tatras grand tour.

Can I see the High Tatras in one day from Bratislava?

Yes — it’s a long but very doable full-day trip. Our grand Slovakia tour combines the Tatras with Orava Castle and the painted village of Čičmany in one route.

Where do the tours start?

We pick you up at your Bratislava hotel or apartment in the morning and bring you back in the evening.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. Tours booked through GetYourGuide come with free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour starts.

Do you run tours in winter?

Yes, all year round. Winter is one of our best seasons — the High Tatras under snow are spectacular and the roads are quiet. Some castle interiors close between November and March, so tell us your date and we will say honestly what is open.

How long is a full day?

Most tours run 9 to 12 hours door to door, depending on the route. The Tatras trip is the longest at around 13 hours; shorter options are available if your schedule is tight.

Do I need a passport?

For tours that stay in Slovakia, an ID card is enough for EU citizens. Trips that cross into Austria or Hungary need a passport or national ID with you.

Is it suitable for children or older travellers?

Yes. Groups are small, the van stops whenever you need, and you decide how much walking you do at each castle. Tell us in advance and we will pace the day around you.

What if the weather is bad?

We drive in all weather and the itinerary rarely changes. If a mountain road is genuinely unsafe, we swap in an alternative stop and tell you before we set off — you are never left without a day.

Is it cheaper to book directly?

Yes. Booking on our own website is usually cheaper than the large platforms, and paying your driver in cash on the day is cheaper again on most tours. Message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you the exact price for your group.
